 Day 1 International outbound flight

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Dar es Salaam International Airport.


 Day 2 Ruaha National Park

Dar es Salaam International Airport , Dar es Salaam domestic terminal , Ruaha National Park
On arrival, you will be transferred around to the domestic terminal for your light aircraft transfer to Ruaha National Park. You will land in the park in time for a late lunch in camp. You can then relax in the heat of the day before heading out in the afternoon to explore this wild and beautiful national park.


 Day 3 Ruaha National Park

Today you can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives from Jongomero Camp, returning to the camp for lunch. The camp is situated in a remote corner of the park meaning you are unlikely to see any other vehicles on your safari. Ruaha is the biggest national park in Tanzania and is great for spotting elephant, lion and buffalo.


 Day 4 Ruaha National Park

You can choose from morning and afternoon game drives again today or perhaps arrange for a full day game drive, taking a packed lunch with you to enjoy in a shady spot at midday and giving you more of a chance to explore this very beautiful and wild national park. The birdlife is just as impressive as the big game, so keep your binoculars handy.


 Day 5 Ruaha National Park

Your final day on safari to make the most of the stunning landscape.


 Day 6 Pemba Island

Today you will fly to Pemba Island in the Indian Ocean, enjoying some superb views of the coral reefs from the plane. A driver will meet you and transfer you to the harbour where a speedboat will transport you to Fundu Lagoon, your base for the next seven nights.

Today you are at leisure to relax or explore as you like. You may wish to enjoy a pampering spa treatment, or taking a kayak to paddle along the mangroves looking for fish in the crystal clear waters.


 Day 8 Pemba Island

Today you could visit the nearby Mesali Island for a few hours, enjoying the pristine beaches and snorkelling straight off the shore.


 Day 9 Pemba Island

Fundu Lagoon has a beautiful catamaran on which you can spend a day cruising the waters - this is a real treat and a wonderful way to enjoy this very unspoilt location.


 Day 10 Pemba Island

If you're willing to wake up early, you can take a sunrise dolphin safari this morning, sailing in a traditional dhow as you search for them. A memorable way to start your day!


 Day 11 Pemba Island

The reefs off Pemba are well known for their diversity of marine life, so snorkelling and diving here is particularly rewarding. Fundu has a PADI dive centre on site, and knowledgeable guides who can ensure you get the most out of your time exploring this underwater world.


 Day 12 Pemba Island

Today is your final day to relax on Pemba. You can chill out by the pool or on the beach or perhaps do some more exploring.


 Day 13 Stone Town

Today you will be transferred by speedboat and road back to Pemba airport for your flight south to Zanzibar. After being transferred to your hotel in the heart of Stone Town, you will have the rest of the day to enjoy the sights and sounds of this unique port - famous for its dramatic history as a centre of colonial exploration and of the East African slave-trade. Explore the narrow alleyways and cobbled streets picking up some souvenirs and absorbing the atmosphere.


 Day 14 International return flight

Today you will head back to Zanzibar airport for your onward flights.
